(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston will hit the road for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) contests this weekend. On Friday, January 8, the Golden Eagles will travel to Wayne, Neb. to face Wayne State College at 8 p.m. On Saturday, January 9, U of M, Crookston will face Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. at 7 p.m.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 3-9 and NSIC record of 0-6 after dropping a pair of NSIC contests at Lysaker Gymnasium to Minnesota State University, Mankato (83-82) and Southwest Minnesota State University (84-64) this past Saturday and Sunday. They are led by Damarius Cruz (Fr, G, Plymouth, Minn.) who is averaging 18.2 points per game (80-for-185).
Golden Eagles @ Wayne State College Friday, January 8 8 p.m.
The Wildcats hold an overall record of 5-7 and NSIC record of 2-3 after dropping a double overtime decision to the University of Minnesota Duluth (78-79) and defeating Bemidji State University (78-66) on the road this past weekend. They are led by Brad Starken who is averaging 13.3 points (52-for-112) and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Golden Eagles @ Augustana College Saturday, January 9 7 p.m.
The Vikings have an overall record of 11-1 and NSIC record of 4-1 after defeating Bemidji State University (80-73) and the University of Minnesota Duluth (73-58) on the road this past weekend. They are led by Cody Schilling who is averaging 15.6 points (61-for-123) and 5.8 rebounds per game.
