(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Hunt Seat Equestrian team returns to action for the first time since their home show on November 7-8 when they travel to River Falls, Wis. for a show at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Saturday's show will begin at 1 p.m. while Sunday's show will begin at 9 a.m.
Jessica Biddle (Sr, Elburn, Ill.) and Laura Critchett (Jr, Shoreview, Minn.) are both looking to qualify in the Open Jumping and Heather Fogelson (So, Grant, Minn.) in Novice Jumping. Jessica Charles (Belgrade, Maine) and Angela Peterson (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) are looking for a winning weekend to qualify them in Walk Trot Canter.
"Several riders are close to qualifying and I am hoping that this weekend in River Falls we can secure them a spot at the regionals," says Golden Eagle Head Coach Brooke Leininger. "The team is currently 45 points ahead of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and we will be looking to increase that lead over the weekend."
