(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team has a busy week with seven games. The Golden Eagles face the University of Mary in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) doubleheader at the UMC Baseball Field on Tuesday, April 6. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. They travel to Mayville, N.D. on Wednesday, April 7 for a single nine-inning game against Mayville State University. The non-conference game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. U of M, Crookston returns to NSIC action on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 as they host Southwest Minnesota State University in a pair of doubleheaders. Action will get underway at 12 p.m. both days at the UMC Baseball Field.
The Golden Eagles are looking to break back into the win column after dropping a four-game set at home to Upper Iowa University last weekend. U of M, Crookston has an overall record of 2-23 and NSIC record of 0-12. They are led by Devin Croal (So, SS, Coon Rapids, Minn.) who is hitting .318 (21-for-66) with eight runs batted in (RBI). Reed Oistad (Fr, IF, Detroit Lakes, Minn.) has been hitting the ball well as of late. Over the 12 games he has played in, Oistad is hitting .333 (8-for-24). Teddy Gutman (Sr, OF/DH, Burlington, Iowa) is hitting .271 (19-for-70) with six RBI. P.J. Zwach (So, 3B, St. Paul, Minn.) returned to the line-up last weekend and is hitting .257 (18-for-70) with seven RBI.
