Golden Eagle Women's Soccer Team to Host Bemidji State University in 2009 Home Opener

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team will have its home opener on Tuesday, September 8 when they play host to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foe Bemidji State University. The match will be a non-conference contest with action getting underway at 4 p.m. at the UMC Soccer Field.

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 1-1-1 after defeating Northwestern College 1-0 at the Dordt/Northwestern Pizza Ranch Classic in Orange City, Iowa on Saturday. They are led by Justine Jones (Sr, Fwd, Richland, Wash.) and Stephanie Lee (Jr, Fwd, Scarsdale, N.Y.) who each have one goal. Anna Ogaard (Jr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) has been stellar in net recording a 0.59 goals against average and a .917 saves percentage.

The Beavers have an overall record of 2-1-0. They are led by Brianna Duff who has scored four goals and added three assists for 11 points. Analey Skog has scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. Samantha Ross has a 0.00 goals against average and a 1.000 saves percentage.
