(Bismarck, N.D.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Volleyball team completed the season sweep of the University of Mary this evening with a 3-0 victory. The Golden Eagles only gave up the lead four times as they took the NSIC victory 25-14, 25-23, 25-14.
Golden Eagles Amber Meyer (OH, 6-2, JR, Paxton, Neb.) and Alyssa Krikke (MH, 6-0, JR, Grand Rapids, Mich.) led all players with 13 and 11 kills each. Krikke also finished with a team high .348 (11K-3E-23TA) attack percentage. Setter Shannon Cologna (S, 5-6, JR, Peoria, Ariz.) led all players with 32 assists. Amanda Swann (OH, 6-0, FR, Rochester, Minn.) tallied a match high four service aces while Ashley Allen (OH, 5-11, SR, Buffalo, Minn.) led all players with 14 defensive digs.
Mary was led by Laci Murtha who tallied nine kills for the Marauders. Anna Silha earned 17 assists while Katie Hogan led the squad with 11 digs.
The Golden Eagles are 5-21 overall and 2-12 in the NSIC while the Marauders drop to 7-19 overall and 1-14 in the NSIC. U of M, Crookston travels to Northern State tomorrow to play the Wolves. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
