Alyssa Schneider (Racine, Wis.) Signs National Letter of Intent with Golden Eagle Volleyball

Al's Signing 11-11-09.jpg(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Alyssa Schneider to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2010.

Schneider is a 6-0, middle hitter from Oak Creek High School in the Southeast Conference. She was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in 2008, the Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2009 and is a two-time letter winner in volleyball. She plays club volleyball for Wisconsin Juniors. Schneider is a member of the National Honor Society, earned the Board of Education Academic Excellence Award and is an academic letter winner.

"Alyssa is an excellent addition to the Golden Eagle Volleyball family.  Alyssa's elite level experience and work ethic are invaluable and will serve her well at the level we are expecting her to play," says Coach Anderson. "I am very excited that we are able to add a player with Alyssa's experience, attitude and passion for the game."

Schneider plans to major in health sciences (pre-physical therapy) at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Cindy and Tim Schneider.
