Amber Meyer Named NSIC Volleyball All-Conference Honorable Mention

University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) junior, outside hitter, Amber Meyer (OH, 6-2, JR, Paxton, Neb.) earned recognition for her play as a member of the NSIC All-Conference Honorable Mention team.

Meyer has played in all 104 sets of the 2009 season. She leads the team with 402 kills (4.46 k/set) and points with 464. Her kill stats rank her third in the NSIC in kills and second in kills per set. She is third on the team in total blocks with 62 and fourth on the team in service aces with 27. Meyer has been named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week twice during the 2009 season.

Meyer is majoring in hotel, restaurant, and institutional management at U of M, Crookston. She is the daughter of Martin and Deb Meyer of Paxton, Neb.
