(Crookston, Minn.) - The University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Men's Basketball program announced today the signing of Ryan Duxbury from Stillwater, Minn., to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2010-11 season.
Duxbury is a 6'8, 230 lb. post player from Stillwater Area High School of the Suburban East Conference. He was a two - year starter in both basketball and football for the Ponies earning All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in basketball. Duxbury also served as team captain. He was also ranked as high as a top 20 player in the state of Minnesota in some recruiting publications.
"We identified Ryan two years ago as an individual that would be an impact player for us," says University of Minnesota, Crookston Head Men's Basketball Coach Jeff Oseth. "He is an exceptional student in addition to being an exceptional athlete. Ryan will make a tremendous impact in our program."
Duxbury's major at the University of Minnesota, Crookston will be business management. He is the son of Mark and Julie Duxbury.

All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
