
The Golden Eagles were led offensively by Amber Meyer (OH, 6-2, JR, Paxton, Neb.) who finished the match with a match-high 10 kills. Meyer now has 998 total kills in her career as a Golden Eagle. At the net, she added two assisted blocks for UMC. Alyssa Krikke (MH, 6-0, JR, Grand Rapids, Mich.) added eight kills and earned a career-high .538 (8K-1E-13TA) attack percentage. Shannon Cologna (S, 5-6, JR, Peoria, Ariz.) did the setting for the Golden Eagles and finished with a match-high 27 assists and 997 for the season. Allen played strong defensively, leading the team with 16 defensive digs.
The Vikings were led by Ellen Andrews 10 kills. Beth Talcott knocked down nine kills and had a .412 (9K-2E-17TA) attack percentage. Doing a majority of the setting was Dani Haley who finished the match with 24 assists. Grace Sanders led all players with 17 defensive digs.
The Golden Eagles finish the 2009 season 6-26 overall and 3-17 in the NSIC while the Vikings improved to 14-18 overall and 9-11 in the NSIC.
