Katie Miedtke (Maple Grove Minn.) Signs National Letter of Intent with Golden Eagle Volleyball

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Katie Miedtke to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2010.
 
Miedtke is a 5-10 middle hitter from Osseo Senior High School in the Northwest Suburban Conference. She earned recognition as an All-Conference volleyball player and was the second leading blocker in the state of Minnesota. Miedtke earned the Senior Leadership award and added to her All-Conference honors as an All-Conference Honorable Mention athlete in the high jump.
 
"We are very excited that Katie has decided to further her athletic and academic career at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is a phenomenal athlete in both volleyball and track and is an excellent student," comments Coach Anderson. "Her athletic ability is going to serve her extremely well next season. We look for Katie to come in and challenge right away as a freshman."
 
Miedtke plans to major in animal science (pre-veterinary medicine) at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Scott and Linda Miedtke and Nancy Miedtke.
