Blue Hawks Hold Golden Eagles to Season Low 55 Points to Take Non-Conference Victory

(Dickinson, N.D.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Basketball team traveled to Dickinso, N.D. tonight to take on the Blue Hawks of Dickinson State University. DSU held Minnesota, Crookston to the lowest shooting percentage, field-goals made and points on the season to take the 65-55 victory.

Bri Zabel (F, 6-0, JR, Northfield, Minn.) led the Golden Eagles and tied a game-high with 17 points. She was 3-12 from the field but a perfect 10-10 from the free-throw line. Jamie Zelinsky (G, 5-11, JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn.) tallied her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Brittani Wiese (G, 5-7, FR, Albertville, Minn.) scored six points and tied a game-high with four assists in the contest.

Dickinson State was led by Kia Herbel who tallied 17 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. She was followed by Kylee Bittner who scored 16 points and Amber Adams who finished the contest with 12 points.

The Golden Eagles advance to 4-6 overall this season and 2-2 in the NSIC. Minnesota, Crookston travels to Hancock, Mich. on December 29 to take on Finlandia University. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m.
