Golden Eagle Baseball Team Returns to Action on Sunday, February 28

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team returns to action on Sunday, February 28 when they play a non-conference doubleheader against Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foe Northern State University. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn.

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 0-2 and have been off since dropping a non-conference doubleheader against NSIC foe Bemidji State University (7-0 & 8-4) back on February 5. U of M, Crookston is led by Josh Kraby (Fr, OF/3B, Glencoe, Minn.) who is hitting .333 (2-for-6) and Teddy Gutman (Sr, OF, Burlington, Iowa) who is also hitting .333 (2-for-6). Devin Croal (So, SS, Coon Rapids, Minn.) is hitting .286 (2-for-7) with three runs batted in (RBI).

The Wolves have an overall record of 0-4 after dropping four non-conference games to NSIC foe to Bemidji State University in the Metrodome on Sunday and Monday. The Beavers defeated Northern State University 10-2 and 17-4 on Sunday and 4-2 and 4-3 on Monday. The Wolves are led by Michael Cross who is hitting .538 (7-for-13). Adam Brion is hitting .300 (3-for-10). Lucas Jung has a 4.50 earned run average (ERA) over eight innings pitched.
