(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Tennis team opens the 2010 season with a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match against Upper Iowa University on Friday, February 12 at Courts Plus in Fargo, N.D. Matches start at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 1-11 and NSIC record of 0-11. Third-year head coach Josh Lunak is excited to start the season. "I am really excited to get the season underway," says Coach Lunak. "The team has been working really hard at practice and hopefully it will pay off in the first match."
Golden Eagles vs. Upper Iowa University Friday, February 12 1 p.m.
The Peacocks play a split schedule (fall/spring) and have an overall record of 4-1. This will be their first match since October 5 when they defeated Simpson College 8-1.
