St. Cloud State Downs Golden Eagle Men 86-57

servaty_jason_09.jpg hendricks_adam_09.jpg(Crookston, Minn.)- St. Cloud State University opened up a 41-23 halftime lead and went on to defeat the University of Minnesota, Crookston 86-57 today in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Men's Basketball action in St. Cloud, Minn.

The Huskies were led by Matt Schneck who scored 14 points (3-for-6) with nine rebounds. Schneck was also 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Tim Bergstrasser also scored 14 points (3-for-6) while adding seven rebounds and going 8-for-9 from the free throw line. Brett Putz added 13 points (4-for-7).

The Golden Eagles were led by Jason Servaty (Jr, G, St. Michael, Minn.) who scored 14 points (4-for-11). Mike Larsen (Jr, F, Bluffdale, Utah) added 13 points (5-for-11) and five rebounds. Adam Hendricks (Jr, F, Watertown, Minn.) added ten points (5-for-11) with five rebounds.

St. Cloud State University improves to 21-4 overall and 15-3 in the NSIC. The University of Minnesota, Crookston falls to 4-20 overall and 1-17 in the NSIC.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, February 22 when they host Finlandia University in a non-conference game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at Lysaker Gymnasium.
