(Crookston, Minn.) - The University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Football program announced today the signing of Joshua Perea from Pico Rivera, Calif., Rick Greenwalt from Wildomar, Calif., and Matthew Lenoir from Columbus, Ga., to National Letters of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2010 season.
Perea is a 6-0, 170 lb, quarterback from El Rancho High School in the Del Rio League. He was named a team MVP, All-League, All-Area Honorable Mention and was a two-year team captain. Perea plans to major in criminal justice at U of M, Crookston. He is the son of Gina and Mike Perea.
Greenwalt is a 6-4, 260 lb, offensive lineman from Elsinore High School in the Sunbelt League. He was a two-year All-League selection, All-Valley and All-CIF (California Interscholastic Federation). Greenwalt is undeclared on a major at U of M, Crookston. He is the son of Jon and Vikki Greenwalt.
Lenoir is a 6-0, 260 lb, defensive tackle from Shaw High School. He is undeclared on a major and the grandson of Patricia Page.
