(Crookston, Minn.)- Former University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer player Justine Jones (Richland, Wash.) has been named the recipient of the NCAA Division II Degree-Completion Award.
The award was established to assist former student-athletes who have exhausted their athletics eligibility and will not be receiving athletically-related institutional financial aid. To qualify, the recipient must have completed eligibility at an NCAA Division II member institution and exhausted their eligibility within the past calendar year. They also must have received athletically-related financial aid at that institution and must be within 32 semester hours of an undergraduate degree.
Jones was selected by a committee that is comprised of representatives from NCAA Division II member institutions. She competed for the Golden Eagles during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons. Jones is a hotel, restaurant and institutional management major at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
