Danielle Lang (Ankeny, Iowa) Signs with Golden Eagle Women's Basketball

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's basketball coach Mike Roysland announced today the signing of Danielle Lang from Ankeny, Iowa to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2010-11 season.

Lang is a 6-0, guard from Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). She played her high school basketball at Ankeny High School in the Central Iowa Metro League. Lang was a two-time NJCAA Region XI Academic All-Region Second Team member at DMACC. In high school, she was a three-year varsity letterwinner, a two-time team Most Outstanding Offensive Player, a two-time first team All-Conference player and was named First Team Central Iowa Metro League.

"Dani is a very versatile player. She is long, athletic and has great speed. She also has the ability and strength to guard multiple positions," says Coach Roysland. "We are very excited to have Dani entering the Golden Eagle Women's Basketball program next season."

Lang is the daughter of Lee Ann and Jeff Lang. She plans to major in business at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
