Golden Eagle Student-Athletes Host Club Kid at U of M, Crookston

IMG_6860.JPG(Crookston, Minn.)- Several student-athletes from the University of Minnesota, Crookston hosted Club Kid on Thursday, June 17 on the UMC campus. The event was called "Have a ball at UMC" and featured various sporting activities and games. Club Kid will visit the campus again in the coming weeks to learn more about science, planetariums, rockets, natural resources, the region and more.

"It was a great experience to host "Have a ball at UMC" with the Club Kid participants," says student-athlete host Kayla Bowar. Student host Jamie Zelinsky added, "The kids were introduced to a variety of games and had fun competing against their peers and the student-athlete hosts."

Crookston's Club Kid program, run through the City of Crookston's Park and Recreation, is partnered with the University of Minnesota, Crookston's Center for Adult Learning for a variety of educational experiences throughout the summer.
