(Crookston, Minn.)- Eric Dearden (Sr, F, Riverton, Utah) scored 24 points while Larry Brown (Jr, F, St.Paul, Minn.) added 21 points and seven rebounds as the University of Minnesota, Crookston defeated Valley City State University 73-70 in exhibition men's basketball action tonight in Valley City, N.D.

The Vikings led 33-30 at the half and were led by Calvin Kraft who scored 20 points.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston returns to action on Wednesday, November 3 when they travel to Fargo, N.D. to face North Dakota State University in an exhibition game. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
