University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer Team Hosts Two NSIC Matches this Weekend

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team looks to continue to improve as the Golden Eagles host a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches on Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24 against Augustana College and Wayne State College respectively. Both matches begin at 1 p.m. at the UMC Soccer Field.

The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 2-10-2 and NSIC record of 2-7-0 after dropping a 7-1 decision at Minnesota State University on Saturday and defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 2-1 on Sunday. U of M, Crookston is led by Ashley Sletten (So, F, Glenwood, Minn.) who has scored four goals for eight points. Brittany Taylor (Fr, F, Noblesville, Ind.) has scored two goals and added one assist for five points while Jessica Goodrich (Fr, F, Munster, Ind.) has scored one goal and added three assists for five points. Anna Ogaard (Sr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) has a 2.84 goals against average and a .779 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. Augustana College  Saturday, October 23  1 p.m.

The Vikings have an overall record of 5-7-2 and NSIC record of 4-4-1 after defeating the University of Minnesota Duluth 1-0 on Saturday and losing to Bemidji State University 1-0 on Sunday. Both games were at home. Katie Shandri has scored four goals and added one assist for nine points. Stacy Dally has scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. Amanda Wegner has a 0.92 goals against average and a .870 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. Wayne State College  Sunday, October 24  1 p.m.

The Wildcats have an overall record of 5-5-4 and NSIC record of 1-4-4 after defeating Bemidji State University 2-1 on Saturday and losing to the University of Minnesota Duluth 3-1 on Sunday. Both games were at home. Megan Dias has scored eight goals and added one assist for 17 points. Kelsey Meyer has scored three goals and added six assists for 12 points. Emily Walker has a 1.54 goals against average and a .768 saves percentage.
