(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team will open the 2010 season with a home exhibition game against Jamestown College on Sunday, August 22. The match will start at 4 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 5 p.m.
The Golden Eagles finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 2-15-2 and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) record of 0-12-1 in Coach Richard Jones's first season at the helm. U of M, Crookston welcomes a roster of 20 student-athletes including 13 newcomers. Top returning players include Anna Ogaard (Sr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) who started 17 games in net with a 2.45 goals against average and a .770 saves percentage and Kaitlyn Ostergren (So, M, Lino Lakes, Minn.) who scored three goals for six points.

The Jimmies finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 3-13-3 including a 1-1 tie with the Golden Eagles.
