(St. Paul, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston volleyball team is on the road during homecoming weekend at UMC. The team traveled to Concordia University-St. Paul this evening to take on the Golden Bears. CSP stayed perfect in conference play and upped their record to 4-0 with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 25-16) victory over the Golden Eagles.
Danielle Rueter (OH, 5-9, So., Burlington, Wis.) and Amanda Swann (OH, 6-0, So, Rochester, Mich.) led the Golden Eagle offense with five kills each. Swann also led UMC with a .357 (5K-0E-14TA) attack percentage. Chelsea Wiesner (DS, 5-8, Fr., Rochester, Minn.) recorded 11 digs at the libero position for Minnesota, Crookston.
The Golden Bears were paced by Cassie Haag who tallied 19 kills and led all players with a .643 (19K-1E-28TA) attack percentage on the night. Kara Pioske was second on the team with 10 kills. Kayla Koenecke and Megan Carlson added nine kills apiece along with 14 and 16 digs respectively while Amanda Konetchy earned 49 set assists.
The Golden Eagles are 0-12 overall and 0-4 in NSIC play. Concordia University-St. Paul advances to 9-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. Minnesota, Crookston closes out the weekend double-header at St. Cloud State on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m.
