Golden Eagle Women's Soccer Team Opens 2010 NSIC Season

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team opens the 2010 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) season on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19 when they travel to the University of Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State University respectively. Both matches start at 1 p.m.

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 0-3-2 after playing three non-conference matches against NSIC opponents last week. U of M, Crookston dropped a 3-0 decision to Bemidji State University at home on Tuesday before losing 3-1 to St. Cloud State University at the NSIC Soccer Festival in St. Cloud, Minn. on Friday night. Sunday saw the Golden Eagles put forth a valiant effort in a 0-0 double overtime tie with Augustana College at the NSIC Soccer Festival in St. Cloud, Minn.

Anna Ogaard (Sr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) has a 2.06 goals against average a .807 saves percentage for U of M, Crookston.

Golden Eagles @ University of Minnesota Duluth Saturday, September 18  1 p.m.

The Bulldogs have an overall record of 0-2-2 after dropping a 1-0 decision at Michigan Tech University on Sunday. Regan Lloyd has two assists for two points. Dani Potter has one goal for two points. Hannah Bengston has a 1.07 goals against average and a .868 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles @ Bemidji State University   Sunday, September 19  1 p.m.

The Beavers had the weekend off after defeating the Golden Eagles on Tuesday. They will face Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday. Bemidji State University has an overall record of 3-0-0. Jessie Voeller has scored two goals with one assist for five points. Jamie Ford has scored one goal and added three assists for five points. Samantha Ross has a 0.67 goals against average and a .917 saves percentage.
