(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team dropped a 3-0 non-conference decision to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foe Bemidji State University today in Crookston, Minn.
The Beavers took a 1-0 lead at 24:42 when Bethany Fluto scored off assists from Analey Skog and Mallory Lowe. Skog put Bemidji State University up 2-0 at 25:37 off an assist from Danielle Steele. The Beavers closed out the scoring at 47:25 when Jamie Ford scored off a penalty kick.
Samantha Ross recorded six saves to gain the shutout. Anna Ogaard (Sr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) recorded ten saves for the Golden Eagles.
U of M, Crookston falls to 0-2-1 overall while Bemidji State University improves to 3-0-0.
The Golden Eagles return to action this Friday and Sunday when they play a pair of non-conference matches at the NSIC Soccer Festival in St. Cloud, Minn. U of M, Crookston faces St. Cloud State University at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Augustana College at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
