The offensive leader for the Golden Eagles tonight was Amanda Swann (OH, 6-0, So., Rochester, Mich.) who finished with a team-high eight kills. Katie Miedtke (MH, 5-10, Fr., Maple Grove, Minn.) led the squad in attack percentage with a solid .667 (4K-0E-6TA). Setter Shannon Cologna (S, 5-8, Sr., Peoria, Ariz.) assisted on 20 of the teams 24 kills while Chelsea Wiesner (L, 5-8, Fr., Rochester, Minn.) led all players with 12 defensive digs and earned two service aces.
MSU Moorhead was led by Laura Tvrdik who earned a match-high 11 kills and .471 (11K-3E-17TA) attack percentage. Leigh Splittstoesser led all setters with 37 assists and three service aces. Defensively, Heidi Lensing led the Dragons with 10 defensive digs.
The Golden Eagles are 0-21 overall and 0-13 in NSIC play. MSU Moorhead advances to 12-9 overall and 8-5 in conference play. Minnesota, Crookston travels to Upper Iowa and Winona State on October 29 and 30. First serve for those matches are 7 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
