(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston's Megan Flynn (So, D, Chanhassen, Minn.) scored off an assist from Amye Berg (So, M, Lino Lakes, Minn.) at 66:23 to tie the game at 1-1 and neither Upper Iowa University or the Golden Eagles scored in the two overtime stanzas as both teams settled for a 1-1 double overtime tie today in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer action in Crookston, Minn.
The Peacocks scored at 45:11 when Valeria Ptasinski found the back of the net off an assist from Amanda Millard.
Amanda Smith recorded four saves for Upper Iowa University. Anna Ogaard (Sr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) recorded 11 saves for the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
The Peacocks now have an overall record of 8-6-3 and NSIC record of 4-5-3. The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 2-12-3 and NSIC record of 2-9-1.
The University of Minnesota, Crookston closes out the 2010 season on Sunday, October 31 when they host Winona State University in an NSIC match at 1 p.m. It will also be senior day.
