(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team returns to action on Tuesday, November 23 and Saturday, November 27. The Golden Eagles will travel to Mayville State University on Tuesday and host Cross Roads College in their home opener on Saturday. Tip-offs will take place at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m. respectively.

U of M, Crookston opened the 2010-2011 season on a strong note defeating Finlandia University in a non-conference game on the road by a score of 84-58. The Golden Eagles had five players reach double figures. Larry Brown (Jr, F, St. Paul, Minn.) scored 18 points and added seven rebounds. Adam Hendricks (Sr, F, Watertown, Minn.) scored 17 points. Eric Dearden (Sr, G, Riverton, Utah), Almir Krdzalic (So, G, Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Jacolby Anderson (Jr, G, Lancaster, Tex.)  each added ten points.

Golden Eagles @ Mayville State University Tuesday, November 23  7 p.m.

The Comets have an overall record of 3-1 after dropping a 77-73 decision at Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday evening. Going into their game against the Dragons, Mayville State University was led by Shavonte Samuels who was averaging 23.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Wiley Jiles was averaging 14.7 points and seven rebounds per game. Ross Aman was averaging 11.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game while Adam Edwards was averaging 10.7 points per game.

Golden Eagles vs. Cross Roads College  Saturday, November 27  2 p.m.

The Knights have an overall record of 2-4 after dropping an 82-54 decision at Ashford University on Tuesday. No other information is available.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
