(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team opens the 2010-2011 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) season on Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4 when they travel to the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) and Bemidji State University (BSU) respectively. The UMD game will tip-off at 8 p.m. while the BSU game will tip-off at 6 p.m.

The Golden Eagles have started the season off in style going 3-0 in non-conference games. U of M, Crookston defeated Crossroads College 105-42 on Saturday in their home opener. The Golden Eagles are led by Larry Brown (Sr, F, St. Paul, Minn.) who is averaging 17.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Adam Hendricks (Sr, F, Watertown, Minn.) is averaging 15.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Eric Dearden (Sr, G, Riverton, Utah) is averaging 13.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while Jacolby Anderson (Jr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 12.7 points per game.

Golden Eagles @ University of Minnesota Duluth Friday, December 3     8 p.m.

The Bulldogs have an overall record of 2-2 after defeating the University of Wisconsin-Superior 78-74 at home on Tuesday night. UMD is led by Jake Hottenstine who is averaging 13.3 points per game. Dylan Rodriguez is averaging 10.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Riley Walker is averaging 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while Ryan Rassmussen is averaging ten points and four rebounds per game.

Golden Eagles @ Bemidji State University  Saturday, December 4          4 p.m.

The Beavers have a record of 2-1 after defeating the University of Wisconsin-Stout 89-87 at home on Tuesday. They travel to Jamestown College for a non-conference game on Monday night. BSU is led by James Ellisor who is averaging 19.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Pat Cassidy is averaging 16.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while Bryce Tesdahl is averaging 14 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
