Golden Eagle Western Equestrian Team Looks to Extend Region Lead at NDSU this Weekend

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Western Equestrian team looks to extend its lead in the region when the Golden Eagles travel to Fargo, N.D. for shows at North Dakota State University (NDSU) on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14. The shows begin at 1 p.m. and 9 a.m. respectively.

U of M, Crookston is leading NDSU by 22 points and looking to extend that lead in its last show before March 5, 2011. "We have been competing well and want to close out the first part of the season on a strong note," says Golden Eagle Western Coach Nicky Overgaard. "NDSU is right behind us so this will be an important show."

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
