Golden Eagle Men's Golf Tied for Third After First Day of SCSU Husky Classic

Sanders_Jake10(media).jpg(St. Cloud, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Golf team traveled to St. Cloud, Minn. for the SCSU Husky Classic on Sunday, September 19 and Monday, September 20. The Golden Eagles closed out the first day tied for third place with St. Cloud State (Black) at +12 (300). Minnesota State currently leads the competition at +6 (294).
 
Jake Sanders (Sr., Crookston, Minn.) leads all Golden Eagle golfers and is currently tied for second place with Nathan Wazney of the University of Manitoba at -1 (71). Jon Blazek (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) trails Sanders by three strokes at +2 (74) and is tied for 10th place. Jesse Hafdal of St. Cloud State (Red) leads the competition at -2 (70).
 
Minnesota, Crookston returns to the course on Monday morning for the final day of the SCSU Husky Classic. The team travels to Gothenberg, Neb. on September 25-27 for the NSIC & RMAC Fall Crossover at the Wild Horse Golf Club.
