Golden Eagle Men's Basketball Team Set to Start Practice

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team is set to start practice for the 2010-2011 season on Friday, October 15 at 3 p.m. at Lysaker Gymnasium on the U of M, Crookston campus. Coach Jeff Oseth's squad will follow this up with practices at 11 a.m. on Saturday, 8 a.m. on Sunday, 4:30 p.m. on Monday and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles and their eighth year mentor are excited to get the new season underway. "We are really looking forward to the start of the basketball season," says Coach Oseth. "We feel we have had a very good six weeks leading up to the start with our individual workouts, conditioning and weight program. The guys are excited to get going."

U of M, Crookston will begin their season with a pair of exhibition games at North Dakota State University on November 2 and Jamestown College on November 10. Both games tip-off at 7 p.m. The Golden Eagles start the regular season at Finlandia University on November 15. Tip-off is yet to be determined.

U of M, Crookston will start the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) season on Friday, December 3 at the University of Minnesota Duluth and Saturday, December 4 at Bemidji State University. The games tip-off at 8 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
