Abby Cleveland (Andover, Minn.) Signs National Letter of Intent with Golden Eagle Volleyball

clevelandsign10.jpg(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Abby Cleveland to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2011.
 
Cleveland is a 6-0, middle hitter, from Andover High School in the North West Suburban Conference. She was a section champion and state participant in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She was named the team's rookie of the year and was selected as an All-State Academic Award winner.
 
"Abby is a physical middle hitter who is excellent on the slide approach.  She comes from an outstanding high school program with a winning tradition and that experience will serve her well at UMC," says Coach Anderson.  "We are very excited that Abby decided to pursue her goals as a member of the Golden Eagle Volleyball family."
 
Cleveland plans to major in criminal justice at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Tom and Diane Cleveland.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
 
All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
