Brittany Looker (Rochester, Minn.) Signs National Letter of Intent with Golden Eagle Volleyball

lookerphoto.jpg(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Brittany Looker to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2011.
 
Looker is a 5-11, outside hitter, from Mayo High School in the Big 9 Conference. She was the KAAL News Female Prep Athlete of the Week and recognized as an All-Conference Honorable mention player as a sophomore. She was named a team captain and earned All-Conference recognition as a junior. Looker was again bestowed captain honors and tallied over 1,000 kills during her senior campaign. Following her prep career, she was named an All-Conference and All-State volleyball player.
 
"Brittany is a great athlete and is the type of outside hitter we truly wanted in our 2011 class," comments Coach Anderson.  "She has had an outstanding high school career, culminated by leading her team to the state tournament and earning her 1,000th career kill during her senior season.  Her offensive abilities and winning mentality are going to prove invaluable to the Golden Eagle Volleyball team throughout her career.  We are elated that Brittany decided to pursue her academic and athletic goals at UMC and we are very excited to have her be a part of the Golden Eagle Volleyball family."
 
Looker plans to major in biology at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Jim and Sherry Looker.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
 
All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
