Mary Mikutowski (Stillwater, Minn.) Signs National Letter of Intent with Golden Eagle Volleyball

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Mary Mikutowski to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2011.
 
Mikutowski is a 5-8, outside hitter from Stillwater Area High School in the Suburban East Conference. Her high school team took the conference championship in 2009 and 2010, the section championship in 2009 and finished fourth in state in 2009.
 
"Mary is a fantastic athlete that I had the opportunity to coach this summer at camp.  She is a very skilled player who is extremely coachable.  Mary is going to bring a sense of competition to the outside hitting position that is going to be needed next fall," says Coach Anderson.  "We are very excited to add a player with Mary's experience and winning tradition to the Golden Eagle Volleyball family."
 
Mikutowski plans to major in health sciences at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Steve and Terry Mikutowski.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
 
All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
