Dragons Down Golden Eagle Men 67-60 in NSIC Action

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for dearden_eric_1011.jpg(Crookston, Minn.)- Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) took a three-point lead at the half and held on for a 67-60 victory over the University of Minnesota, Crookston in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action today in Crookston, Minn.

The Dragons led by as many as 15 points in the second half. However, neither team took absolute control as MSUM only shot 43.4% (23-53) for the game while the Golden Eagles only shot 36.8% (21-57).

MSUM was led by Dennis Williamson who scored 19 points (7-13 from the field) with 11 rebounds. Jake Driscoll added 15 points (5-9 from the field) while Tarell Clark dropped in 15 points (4-12 from the field) with nine rebounds.

U of M, Crookston was led by Eric Dearden (Sr, G, Riverton, Utah) who scored a game-high 22 points (6-14 from the field) with four assists. Almir Krdzalic (So, G, Sioux Falls, S.D.) added 13 points (5-14 from the field) with five rebounds. Jacolby Anderson (Jr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) scored 11 points (4-12 from the field).

The Dragons improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles fall to 4-3 overall and 0-3 in the NSIC.

U of M, Crookston returns to NSIC action on Friday, December 17 and Saturday, December 18 when they host Augustana College and Wayne State College respectively. Friday's game will tip-off at 8 p.m. while Saturday's will tip-off at 6 p.m.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
