(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Basketball team opens the regular season on Monday, November 15 when they travel to Hancock, Mich. to play Finlandia University. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. (CST). Minnesota, Crookston opens conference play on Friday, December 3 when they travel to Duluth, Minn. to play the Bulldogs. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
UMC opened the 2010-11 exhibition season on November 2 when they played North Dakota State University. UMC added two more Division I exhibition games on November 5 and November 7 when they played the University of North Dakota and the University of Minnesota respectively. The team was led in the three exhibition games by Bri Zabel (F, 6-0, Sr., Northfield, Minn.) who averaged 11.6 points per game.
Finlandia finished 10-15 last season and have not played a game yet this season.
