(Crookston, Minn.)- Bemidji State University (BSU) raced out to a 45-32 halftime lead and never looked back on their way to an 88-63 victory over the University of Minnesota, Crookston in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Men's Basketball action tonight in Crookston, Minn.
The Beavers held the Golden Eagles to just 36.9% shooting for the game while shooting 53.2% themselves.
BSU was led by Pat Cassidy and Mason Walters who each scored 15 points and pulled down four rebounds. Cassidy and Walters were each also 6-9 from the field.
U of M, Crookston was led by Eric Dearden (Sr, G, Riverton, Utah) who scored 18 points (7-12 from the field) with four three-pointers and, two assists and two steals. Adam Hendricks (Sr, F, Watertown, Minn.) scored 17 points (7-17 from the field) with four rebounds and two assists.
The Beavers improve to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles fall to 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC.
U of M, Crookston returns to action on Wednesday, December 8 when they host the College of St. Scholastica in a non-conference game at Lysaker Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
