Marauders Rally to Defeat Golden Eagle Men 71-55

larsen_mike_1011.jpgCrookston, Minn.)- The University of Mary shot 59.3%(16-27) in the second half and rallied from a four-point halftime deficit to defeat the University of Minnesota, Crookston 71-55 today in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Men's Basketball action at Lysaker Gymnasium in Crookston, Minn.

The Golden Eagles shot 53.6% (15-28) in the first half to take a 35-31 lead into the locker room. However, the Marauders held U of M, Crookston to just 32% (8-25) shooting in the second half and outscored the Golden Eagles 40-20 to secure the victory.

The University of Mary was led by Eric Erdmann who scored 21 points (8-16 from the field) with seven rebounds. Jordan Wilhelm added 15 points (6-7 from the field). Anthony Moody scored 12 points (5-15 from the field) with six rebounds while Cameron Lee chipped in ten points (3-6 from the field).

U of M, Crookston was led by Mike Larsen (Sr, F, Bluffdale, Utah) who scored 12 points (4-7 from the field).

The Marauders improve to 10-5 overall and 6-4 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles fall to 5-8 overall and 1-8 in the NSIC.

U of M, Crookston returns to NSIC action on Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15 when they travel to Winona State University and Upper Iowa University respectively. Both games tip-off at 8 p.m.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
