(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team hits the road for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games on Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15. The Golden Eagles face Winona State University and Upper Iowa University respectively. Both games tip-off at 8 p.m.
U of M, Crookston holds an overall record of 5-8 and NSIC record of 1-8 after dropping a 75-65 to Northern State University on Saturday and a 71-55 loss to the University of Mary on Sunday. The Golden Eagles are led by Eric Dearden (Sr, G, Riverton, Utah) who is averaging 13.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Larry Brown (Jr, F, St. Paul, Minn.) is averaging 11.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Adam Hendricks (Sr, F, Watertown, Minn.) is averaging 11.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. Jacolby Anderson (Jr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 10.7 points per game.

The Warriors have an overall record of 11-2 and NSIC record of 7-2 after defeating Concordia University, St. Paul 85-62 and St. Cloud State University 93-91 in overtime. Both games were on the road. Winona State University was ranked 24th in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches Men's Poll. They are led by Anthony Tucker who is averaging 17.5 points per game. Clayton Vette is averaging 13.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
Golden Eagles @ Upper Iowa University Saturday, January 15 8 p.m.
The Peacocks have an overall record of 4-9 and NSIC record of 3-5 after dropping road games to St. Cloud State University (76-68) and Concordia University, St. Paul (82-73) this past weekend. Upper Iowa University is led by Matt Lesan who is averaging 13.1 points per game. Dan Bestul is averaging 11.9 points per game. Tucker Wentzien is averaging 11.3 points per game.
